Make sure to complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) in order to be considered for financial aid for the 2008-2009 academic year. The FAFSA web site allows you to file your application quickly and easily.

ALERT: If you have recently received a letter from a company called “College Financial Advisory” based in San Diego, CA, please note that this company is NOT affiliated with the federal government, College Board, or UNC Greensboro. The letter advises students to apply for financial aid programs by completing the “Student Aid Profile” and sending $48. This is NOT how students apply for federal, state, and institutional aid programs at UNC Greensboro.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, FAFSA, is a free federal application. It is used by schools to evaluate a student’s financial aid eligibility. Please do not pay to apply for financial aid as the process is FREE!

For summer of 2008, you need to complete the 2007-2008 FAFSA. See the summer school application for further details.

It is not too late to file for either 0708 or 0809 at this time. You will want to file your FAFSA soon for 0708 at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov before the semester is over.
