New students should have their immunization records turned into the Student Health Center by July 28, 2008 in order for financial aid to be applied to their bill. This will allow the Student Health Center time to review and clear immunization records in time for the payment deadline of August 1, 2008 for the 2008-2009 fall semester. If immunization records are not submitted and cleared by August 1, 2008 financial aid will not be applied to the student bill.

Why does it say on Genie under “financial aid” that the award is eligible on August 13/15 if payment deadline is August 1st?

If you have approved financial aid, the Cashier’s Office knows that your aid is in process. We cannot pay aid on accounts until 10 days prior to the start of the semester. When an earlier payment deadline is set, you only pay what you don’t have in aid. You can best see this on your estimated final bill link in UNCGenie.
